What is a Green Job?

A green job is an employment position that focuses on environmentally responsible products and/or services.  The job can be in a green company or in a company that focuses on reducing the consumption of natural resources, preventing pollution and promoting environmental responsibility. Any occupation and industry can offer green career opportunities to qualified job seekers.

Air Quality Index

The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a standardized indicator of the air quality in a given location. It uses the measure of particulates and contaminatants in the air to determine how clean the air is. When air pollution is poor, government agencies and the media recommend public transportation and teleworking to help improve air quality. Different countries around the world have different scales for internal use. In all scales, the lower the number, the better the air quality.
